Toile de Jouy, in rose & white on cotton/flax, entitled “La Peche Maritime”. Made at La Manufacture de Oberkampf a Jouy pres Versaille. Similar sample in the Museum of Decorative Arts, Louvre. Print portrays a contemporary shipping scene with vegetation, five men, sailing ships and fishing nets. This type of fabric was used for bed sets, robes, furnishings, table linens and dresses.
