Toile de Jouy floral print. Red with white flowers, brown leaves; each design in an area separated by serpentines of white with red vine through them. The double flower on one stem was repeated amidst a background of white leaf on a red ground. Fabric is quilted. Commonly used for a woman’s dress material. Made at la Manufacture Oberkampf, Jouy press, Versailles. See Clouzot & MOrris, Plate XLII
