Toile de Joy copper print in serpia on natl. cotton/linen, depicting “Scenes Antiques”. Directorate medallions and style showing the Greek influence after the French Revolution. Scenes by Jean-Baptiste Huet, camaieu vers 1800. Collection Tassinari et Chatel. Made at La Manufacture de Oberkampf, a Jouy pres Versailles. See “Vignette of Printed Toiles” Scalamardre Museum. Classical scenes with vegitation such as tulips and leaves, three female figures, four busts, a cupid, birds and musical instruments enclosed in geometric shapes. Designer of this motif was Jean-Baptiste Huet.
