Fabric sample


Copper print in mauve on natl cotton or linen. Coarsely quilted with a batting that appears to be wool and horse hair(?). Directorate group framed by drapery with fringe. Drapery similar to that in an earlier piece shown in Clouzot and Morris, Plate XIX. Probably made in a manufactory and used as an interior fabric such as bed cover. Repetition of Greek and Roman motifs, various forms ofvegetation, architecture, furnishings, human forms and animals
