Spanish floral brocade of woven silk; Flowers pink and white with green & yellow stems & leaves; Cream ground with additional floral motifs; 8.5" x 9"; fair condition: few slits, major browned water stain; with 0-1 repeat fiber: silk yarn: filamentous, single fabric type: figured weave, complex with the contemporary name of brocade application of color: fiber or yarn dyes design: structural due to yarn type and arrangement this fabric had a floral pattern consisting of roses, other flowers and leaves in a small to uniform scale; this fabric was probably used for clothing or an interior decorative fabric mounted;
