Wedding Dress


Two-piece blue taffeta dress with two panels of cut velvet and iridescent bead trimming down the front of the pleated skirt. Iridescent steel buttons and beads on waist. Ruching at neck and cuffs. Very good condition: beads are all present; waistband has been patched at center front.

This blue dress was used as a wedding gown for Adde A. Palmerton, born on Jan. 17, 1860 at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; daughter of Wm. T. and Abigal Jones Palmerton. Abigal was a daughter of Merrit S. & Sally Jones. Adda A. Palmerton married Carlyle R. Mansfield.
