Linen towel


half (?) a white linen towel in birds eye weave edged with ~4” deep open work lace & embroidery; scalloped edge decorated with ~1” knot work and a ~6” fringe; long edges either side finished with a small rolled hem secured by machine stitching (chain); fourth edge is raw (scissors cut); 18" x 13"; towel fabric shows a number of slits and stains but lace worked end is in good condition *** accession card notes 31 a& b suggesting the other half maybe in the collection somewhere
