Pillow slip

White cotton pillow slip with nainwook ruffle along one side of opening, ruffle edged with 0.5” lace; handmade vertical buttonholes in the hem; 2 mother of pearl buttons (2-hole, 0.5” diameter); 18" x 27"; “D 58” stamped near one corner, lettering 0.5” high; very good condition: slightly stained and yellowed original entry noted a creation date of 1800 but this seems unlikely given the construction and presence of machine overlock stitching
