Hostess gown

Perfect hostess gown, red in cotton velvet. oval neck. self bow belt. 3/4 sleeve. jeweled lace embroidery at hem in green/gold/ecru/red/violet:Excellent condition.

This velvet hostess gown with its oval neck and self-bow belt is finished at the hem with jeweled lace embroidery and hidden pockets on both sides of the skirt. Although she wore mostly black clothes and occasionally formal wear in the store, Beatrice Fox Auerbach wore bright colors and the latest fashions in her spare time and for travel. It was important for her to have pockets in all of her clothing, so if a garment came without pockets, she would have them put in. She liked this space for hankies and finger tabulation.
