Bell pulls


Two blue silk satin rectangular pieces tri-folded; center fold panel decorated with oriental motifs in reds, greens, blues and gold (french knot); 34” x 4”(folded) or 7.7” (unfolded); top & bottom raw edges, one of the side edges is a selvedge edge, rest are unfinished; folded panels do not meet in back so has unfinished back; excellent condition

The whole Fox family felt that travel was education and Moses Fox routinely took long trips abroad. This would have been bought by Moses or Theresa Sterns Fox for their daughter, who was at home with her husband and young girls. Beatrice Fox Auerbach and her husband George and their girls did travel to Ireland in 1928, the year before George died of a coronary thrombosis.
