Moss green silk satin square with large embroidered gold dragon; 20” x 19”; accession fabric tag notes as a pillow cover; however no evidence of seaming; two edges show residue (glue) and one has relatively large holes 1.5”-2” spacing (nail holes?); one selvedge edge & three raw edges; good condition, deep creases

Ming-dynasty records mention dragon medallion robes for the use of members of the imperial family, and Ming emperors often wore them in official portraits.
