blue and tan block print with floral and leaf pattern; reproduction of 16th c. design; twill cotton (?) ground; Italian process gives effect of antique brocades; secret printing process originated by Fortuny in Venice; 54" x 29" with attached section of border plus small separate section of border; unmounted; good condition. Paper tag stapled to back of small border sample sewn onto one corner. “B202” noted in pencil
